A long time ago in a suburb that’s pretty darn close…

I grew up as a latch key kid, wandering the winding roads of Chicago’s west suburbs on my dad’s old Schwinn. When I wasn’t flipping over my handlebars, I was watching VHS tapes repeatedly to the point of destruction. Luckily, my mom was quick to purchase replacement copies of Star Wars, Back to the Future, and Labyrinth. The cutting edge special effects and camera work from that era completely enamored me. My love for late 70’s & 80’s blockbusters soon turned to the “Making of…” featurettes as intro classes to the creative process. I learned that many of my favorite sequences were done in-camera which seemed like magic…

31 years & hundreds of projects later, I try to bring the same wonder from my childhood VHS library to productions of all shapes and sizes. Through a combination of extensive communication, thoughtful production design, narrative lighting and an appropriate amount of fun along the way, my team aims to bring out the magic in your brand’s vision.

In between productions, you can find me riding my bike on Lakeshore Path, just listen for the blaring Italo Disco. When time permits, I enjoy crafting custom playlists for productions. Dancing on set is encouraged but not required.
